Important Tax Notice
Interceptor Logistics currently operates under the CRA small supplier threshold. Therefore, services are currently GST-exempt. You will not be charged the 5% tax on your invoices, which gives you a direct 5% cost savings on your freight budget with us compared to larger carriers.
Submitting a quote or dispatch request does not guarantee service. All requests are subject to fleet capacity and operational availability. Interceptor Logistics reserves the unconditional right to decline, reschedule, or cancel any dispatch request at its sole discretion prior to final dispatch acceptance, without liability or penalty. Conditions of the standard bill of lading apply. Interceptor Logistics is not liable for delayed deliveries caused by acts of God, severe Alberta weather events, highway closures, riots, strikes, or the authority of law.
The Carrier operates a specialized Secure Transport fleet. The Consignor (Shipper) confirms that the total shipment does not exceed a maximum payload of 150 lbs, a total volume of 5 standard transport boxes, and no single item exceeds 15 inches in height. Explicitly prohibited items include: illegal narcotics, unsecured firearms/ammunition, hazardous waste, and unmarked chemicals.
Interceptor Logistics operates strictly on an Unbroken Transit Path model. Freight moves directly from Point A to Point B with zero terminal or depot stops. We reserve the right to refuse, reject, or inspect any package at pickup if it exceeds our 150 lb limit, appears unsafe, is improperly packaged, or violates our terms, without refunding the base dispatch call-out fee.
Our liability for any loss or damage during transit is limited to $100.00 CAD, unless a higher Declared Value is purchased at the time of booking (subject to a 2% surcharge on the excess value). In no event shall Interceptor Logistics be liable for consequential damages, downtime costs, or lost profits. All liability transfers entirely to the Receiver the exact moment the delivery is completed, verified by our digital Proof of Delivery timestamp and location data.
We are not liable if goods are improperly wrapped, packed, or secured by the Shipper, nor for the breakage of items not clearly packaged for transit and marked "FRAGILE" or "GLASS." Any shortage, loss, or damage must be reported in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of delivery. Approved claims will be processed strictly based on the claimant providing the verifiable wholesale cost (not retail cost) of the damaged goods.
The first 15 minutes of wait time at both the pickup and drop-off locations are included in the base rate. Thereafter, a Detention Fee of $25.00 per 15-minute block applies. If the wait at a pickup location exceeds 30 minutes, we reserve the right to depart the location and bill the full Base Rate as a Dry Run.
Vehicles maintain a direct, unbroken transit path. Brief operational stops are strictly limited to driver wellness/fueling, during which the vehicle remains fully locked and all cargo assets remain locked within the internally tethered lock box (Chain of Custody tier only).
All initial and standard dispatches are strictly Due on Receipt of the invoice. Net-30 payment terms are only available to clients with a pre-approved commercial account application on file. The booking party (Shipper) is ultimately responsible for all delivery charges. If a dispatch is billed to a receiving company or third party, and that party defaults, refuses to pay, or an account becomes past due, the billing liability reverts immediately back to the booking Shipper. Accounts not paid in full within their agreed terms are subject to a late fee of 2% per month (24% per annum) on the outstanding balance, and the Shipper is liable for any collection or legal fees incurred.
